If you are used to save or archive usefull emails, you certainly probably tried to search for keyword like NCsoft, Guild Wars... and surprisingly found nothing.

To find the relevant email the right keyword is actually : PlayNC

(If you are using FireFox you can search among saved login/password for the old website PlayNC, too)

I tried looking for NCSoft and Guild Wars but nothing came up, ended up having to guess my username. But confirmed, PlayNC is the right word, just found the email with my account, just wish I had thought of that before.

I keep an excel spreadsheet with the email id logins, passwords, plaync ids with passwords and the ids for the XTH log in & passwords for all 6 accounts I use for GW. Helps keep track

Haha, you Sir, are a star - found my account name e-mail, guessed the password and, woohoo, I'm in. Problem is, I go to get the storage pane purchase page in the store and it says I haven't got a gw account linked to this account...so I try and link and got the dreaded "your account is linked to a different ncsoft account" message

Ho hum, at least I can now lodge a more constructive support ticket rather than "ncsoft, you'r systems suck!!"

If you can't find the mail from PlayNC, try to recover your password by entering common usernames you usually use.

still no luck for me and I even have my old emails from my original game account before I switched to gmail. I have the original email confirmation but no mention of the account name. I tried several but none of my info matches to reset password. Oh well maybe support will answer one day.

Yeahhh! i figured it out (i think, well mine anyway). If you have an PlayNC account from a support ticket that you have sent in the past, it will tell you that the account name is your email address. The first bit of the email address becomes your account name BUT the account name can not contain any special characters. So if your account name is [email protected] or [email protected] on the support ticket, try jonsmith as your account name.

Tried that and guess what??? It's something completely different! When did that change? Now, if I just knew the answer to the password hint I've no memory of ever giving...

nice one, found the master account username...but now I can't remember the password and can't remember the answer to the hint/question either so can't reset pw atm

Edit: finally guessed my pw, the hint had nothing to do with it lol

guessed my username from the create accoutn section instead...then worked from the forget password hints

Awesome, thanks. I had searched NCSoft and had recovered a number of emails so figured I must have deleted the one about my account. This found it, so I closed my request.

Yeah I found the login to the NCSoft master account that I've created, but not the one that I've linked my account to which I haven't even created. Bullshit! Thanks anyways
